How to Make Bubble Tea: The Ingredients, Recipe, Storage Instruction

Bubble Tea Ingredients

Do you love bubble tea? If so, you’re in luck! In this blog post, we will teach you how to make your very own bubble milk tea at home. It’s surprisingly easy – all you need are a few simple ingredients and a bit of patience. We’ll also give you tips on storing your bubble tea once it’s made. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!

Bubble Tea Ingredients

When it comes to bubble tea, there are a few key ingredients you’ll need to make the perfect cup. First, you’ll need eight bags of black Tea or three tablespoons of loose-leaf black Tea. Then, you’ll need 4 cups of hot water to brew the Tea.

Once the tea is brewed, you’ll add in 3/4 cup of quick-cooking tapioca pearls. To finish it off, add whole milk (or your choice of milk, like sweetened condensed milk) and simple syrup (or sweetener). And that’s it! Just follow these simple steps, and you’ll have delicious bubble tea in no time.

1)Steeping Tea

Gently pour hot water over tea leaves or bags in a teapot to steep for around 5 minutes.

Note: The perfect amount of time to brew a cup depends on your preference. Some like it stronger and leave for 10 minutes, while others go for 5-7 minutes. However, keep in mind that – over-brewing will result in bitterness.

2) Preparing the Boba

If you are not using tapioca balls from the store, ensure that your boba is well cooked and drained before serving. If using ready-made or ready-to-cook boba pearls like I did in this recipe, follow their instructions on how long to cook (approximately 3–5 minutes). Make sure they are thoroughly dried after cooking so as not to have any sticking issues.

3) Preparing Brown Sugar Syrup

The next step is to prepare the brown sugar syrup. Add water and cooked-up brown sugar over medium heat in a small pan. Now stir until all of your mixtures have dissolved, then cook for 3-4 more so that it becomes thicker but not too much where you can’t mix them easily! This delicious mess is transferred into a bowl or plate.

4) Making the Brown Sugar Milk Tea

Now add the mixture of boba brown sugar to a large glass to the bottom. Then pour milk over it and stir well for optimal taste!

Storage Guidelines

Black Tea

Store the black Tea in an airtight box for approximately three days. Store milk teas (black with sweetener) by adding more boiling water if needed when you make it again, but no need to refrigerate after preparation!

Tapioca Pearls

Planning is always a good idea, and tapioca pearls are no exception! You can prepare and keep your tapioca balls for six months in advance.  This will save you time later on, and you can be sure that your tapioca balls are fresh and of the best quality.

Cooking them before is not suggested, as their consistency and texture change quickly, and they can be slightly less pleasant to eat. Regardless, if you cook extra tapioca balls, you can reserve them in the sugar syrup and keep them in the fridge for a day. Later you can reheat them by splashing water in a saucepan or microwave, and they’ll be perfect as new!

Brown Sugar Syrup

The brown sugar boba tea is a delicious, sweet treat that’s perfect for satisfying your cravings. And the best part is, it’s super easy to make at home! All you need is some brown sugar syrup and tapioca balls, and you’re good to go. Plus, if you make a big batch of syrup, you can store it in the fridge for up to a month, so you can enjoy boba milk tea any time you want.

Tip for Choosing the Best Bubble Tea Shop

At some point, we’ve all sipped on a cup of bubble tea and thought, “this is the best thing ever.” And we’re not wrong! Bubble tea is a delicious and refreshing beverage quickly becoming a global favourite. But with so many bubble tea shops to choose from, how can you be sure you’re getting the best possible cup of Tea?

While there are many factors to consider when choosing a bubble tea shop, one of the most important is whether or not they make their Tea from powder. While powdered Tea can be cheaper and easier to come by, it simply doesn’t taste as good as freshly brewed Tea. If you want the best possible cup of bubble tea, visit a shop that brews their Tea fresh daily.

Another essential factor to consider is customization. Many bubble tea shops now offer customers the ability to customize their drinks to suit their tastes better. This means you can reduce the amount of sugar or add more chewy tapioca pearls to your tea. So if you’re looking for the best possible bubble tea experience, make sure to find a shop that offers customization.

By keeping these tips in mind, you’re sure to find the best bubble tea shop in town!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is bubble tea real tea?

The answer might surprise you. Bubble tea, also known as boba milk tea or pearl milk tea, is a beverage that typically contains brewed Tea and chewy tapioca balls. While many bubble teas are made with black Tea, Green Tea, or oolong tea, some new concoctions don’t include Tea at all. So, what exactly is bubble tea made of?

The base of most bubble teas is brewed black, green, or oolong tea. This gives the drink its characteristic flavor and caffeine content. To this, sweeteners and flavorings are added to create the unique taste of each bubble tea recipe. Common flavorings include fruits, syrups, and powders. The tapioca balls are usually added last and can be either chewy or jelly-like in texture.

Whether you’re a fan of classic black bubble tea or something more innovative, there’s a recipe for you. So next time you’re in the mood for something sweet and refreshing, reach for a cup of bubble tea!

What’s the difference between bubble tea and boba tea?

When people think of bubble tea, they usually think of two things: tapioca pearls and boba. But what exactly is the difference between the two? To put it simply, boba is another word for tapioca pearls.

That’s right – there is no difference between bubble tea and boba tea! Both terms can be used interchangeably to refer to the delicious, refreshing drink that has become a global sensation. So next time you’re craving some bubble tea, don’t hesitate to order a cup of boba tea – you’ll get the same delicious drink either way!

Does bubble tea have caffeine?

Bubble tea is a delicious and refreshing treat that has become increasingly popular recently. While many people enjoy bubble tea for its unique taste and texture, others are drawn to its caffeine content. So, does bubble tea contain caffeine?

The answer depends on the type of bubble tea. Bubble teas use herbal tea leaves and do not contain tea leaves, making them fully caffeine free. The flavours of Fruit Bubble Tea include just fruit syrup and Tea. Fruit bubble teas have some caffeine but less than black Assam tea.

So, whether you’re looking for an energy boost or simply enjoying a delicious beverage, there’s bubble tea out there for you!

Are tapioca pearls easy to digest?

Tapioca has a reputation for being gentle on the stomach. Many people find it easier to digest than flours that producers make from grains or nuts. Tapioca pearls have a high starch content, which gives them their characteristic chewy texture.

When they’re cooked, they turn translucent. You’ll often see them in bubble tea or as a topping for desserts. People with sensitive stomachs may find tapioca easier to digest than other foods. If you’re looking for a nutritious and delicious option that’s easy on your stomach, tapioca may be a good choice.
